Every AeroCP device gets every future firmware update — for the lifetime of the product. Updates ship over Bluetooth via the WeChat mini-program. No cables, no flashing tools.
WeChat → AeroCP mini-program. Confirm BLE is connected (status pill green).
Tap Firmware Update. The app checks the server and shows the latest release notes.
Download takes 10–30s. Then ~3 minutes to stream over BLE.
Device reboots and runs self-check. If all good, you're on the new version.
Battery — V2 must be >30% or plugged in. Mid-update battery drop would brick the OTA.
Flight phase — must be on the WAITING screen or SUMMARY screen. The app refuses to OTA mid-flight.
BLE OTA streams in chunks; if it loses connection mid-transfer, the partial image is discarded and the device boots its previous (still-good) image. Just reconnect and try again. See FAQ — Firmware & OTA for full troubleshooting.
